An inventory coordinator specializes in overseeing the supply flow of materials in a warehouse. This individual will work alongside the sales shipping department to manage and handle the inventory, ensuring that the quantity and quality of materials align with company standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reserve product for current and future day orders.
- Prepare and follow up on the short orders list.
- Stay updated with urgent orders and determine what product is needed.
- Know alternative item numbers and substitutions for products.
- Respond to any changes the Sales/Inventory team may make.
- Plan and report cycle count findings to Laredo Ops Team (Weekly/Mid-Month/ EOM).
- Perform counts on certain item codes to verify no product is missing.
- Follow up with 3PL and the Shipping department when a mis-shipment occurs.
- Process and communicate return orders to the Laredo Ops team.
- Review the production team’s work schedules and variance reports.
- Work with 3PL and Shipping Coordinators to get urgent orders loaded/offloaded.
- Work with the QA team to ensure that urgent orders get inspected.
- Follow up with the Production team on pallets that are being bagged for future day orders.
- Streamline communication between 3PL, Production, Ripe, and Shipping teams.
- Ensure FIFO is followed throughout departments and that orders do not ship out short without approval.
- Provide night and weekend inventory coverage.
- All other duties as assigned.

- Ability to communicate with supervisors and coworkers in a team environment.
- Ability to accomplish and manage tasks in a timely manner without constant direct supervision.
- Ability to report and communicate process issues.
- Able to work according to food facility regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
