REPORTS TO:    Senior Commercial Manager

LOCATION:       Mission Produce UK LTD, Dartford, Kent (on site)

Job Summary

Support the Sourcing Manager in executing the company’s sourcing strategy. Assist in the coordination, administration, and reporting of sourcing activities from farm to customer. This role is key in ensuring smooth operational support across procurement, inventory, logistics, and supplier communications.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining and updating sourcing plans, supplier data, and performance metrics.
  • Support the implementation of sourcing policies, processes, and systems.
  • Help coordinate communication between sourcing and other internal stakeholders & departments.
  • Track and report vessel movements, delivery schedules, and transit challenges.
  • Assist Sourcing Coordinator function with purchase order creation, invoice tracking, and consignment documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, supplier communications, and sourcing documentation.
  • Support the Sourcing Manager in preparing reports and presentations for internal & external stakeholders.
  • Help monitor market reports and country of origin estimates to anticipate supply needs.
  • Assist in evaluating supplier performance and compiling feedback reports.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure compliance with company standards and legal requirements.
  • Support Sourcing Managers to coordinate with suppliers to ensure compliance with delivery programs and schedules
  • Provide administrative support for meetings, planning sessions, and sourcing reviews.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the sourcing functions.
  • Perform other reasonable duties related to this role as requested.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

 

  • Preferrable to have 1–2 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or inventory management (preferably in a perishable goods industry).
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365) is desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external suppliers.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to problem-solving.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the sourcing function.
