Growing Conditions

Our Mexican avocados are grown in a tropical, coastal climate with an abundance of rain and sunshine.

Appearance

Main Season (Main Crop): Slightly bumpy green or black skin with some ridging

Off-Boom (Secondary Crop): Smooth, bright green skin

Ripening

Main Season (Main Crop): Skin will darken during ripening

Off-Boom (Secondary Crop): Skin may not darken and may checkerboard during ripening

Mangos from Mexico

We source Mexico’s top mango varieties from the premium growing regions of Oaxaca all the way up to North Sinaloa. With proximity to the U.S., we can respond quickly to customer demand during the Mexican mango season.

  • Vibrant yellow

  • Skin turns to deep, golden color as fruit ripens
  • Small wrinkles may appear when fully ripe

  • Medium to large with oval or round shape

Color

  • Bright red with green and yellow overtones
  • Small, light-colored dots

  • Green areas of the mango typically turn yellow as it ripens

Color

  • Typically covered in a dark red blush
