Label & Packaging Coordinator
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide feedback on performance including successes and failure of plans or precautions against KPIs.
- Ensuring that the Safety Management System is effectively implemented within their areas of responsibility.
- Ensuring that all accidents, incidents and near misses reported to them are documented and investigated correctly.
- Ensure all labels are correct, printed as required and the specific details are correct to the allocated job.
- Ensure that the correct procedure for label printing is followed to ensure that all labels are printed within specifications. Liaise with QC and Packhouse supervisors regarding any requirement changes.
- Maintain accurate data on label software.
- Ensure work is to a high standard, and efficient and that any issues that arise and corrected effectively.
- Conduct routine inspections of processes to look for improvement opportunities.
- To complete paperwork and any associated administrative tasks related to the labels and packaging. Set the correct processes and train these out for the required staff.
- Correctly and efficiently prepare stock such as film/bags/inserts and labels for the production lines to run the following day using the production plan raised.
- Create SOPs for all processes and ensure effective cross-training amongst all staff members
- To undertake stock checks on print room supplies and report this back to the line manager in good time to order.
- Always ensure the cleanliness of the label room.
- To deal with any requests for additional labels – shorts, etc. or potential substitutions and report back any concerns you may have relating to additional labels.
- Carry out WPIs to ensure site is kept safe and procedures are being followed.
- Carry out additional tasks and duties that might be required.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
- 3 + years experience in a production environment would be beneficial, but equivalent qualifications will be considered.
- Proficient knowledge of production and labelling procedures and policies.
- Experience working with label creation programs.
- Ability to plan and deal with unexpected changes.
- Understanding of manufacturing supply chain.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good written and verbal skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work with a variety of cross-functional team members.
- Understanding of Stock Management systems or ERP, for example SAP, Fresh ware, D365
