JOB TITLE: Multiskilled Operative

REPORTS TO: Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensuring that the operations under their control are, as far as is reasonably practicable, conducted without detriment to the health and safety of employees or others who may be affected by their activities.
• Ensuring that any remedial actions that are beyond their scope of authorisation are brought to the attention of their immediate superior.
• Co-operate with Managers and Supervisors on all Health & Safety matters.
• Not interfere with anything provided to safeguard the Health & Safety of themselves or others.
• Take reasonable care of their Health & Safety and Health & Safety of others.
• Report all Health & Safety concerns, unsafe situations, or unsafe practices immediately to an appropriate person.
• Report accidents, incidents, dangerous occurrences and near misses to their Manager/Supervisor and co-operate in their subsequent investigation.
• Adhere to the company safety rules at all times and refrain from doing anything that constitutes a danger to themselves or others.
• Ensure that any equipment issued to them, or for which they are responsible, is correctly used and properly stored.
• Be responsible for good housekeeping in the area in which they are working.

• Maintaining safety discipline within their area of work.
• Use MHE as required.
• Load / unload storage areas and ripening rooms using articulated trucks.
• Unload and load vehicles following Health & Safety protocol and procedures.
• Use Microsoft D365 to receipt, move and dispatch product through the facility.
• Ensure product and equipment are supplied to production as efficiently as possible.
• Assemble product for customer orders.
• Strap, scan stock pallets and move to designated storage or assembly areas.
• Replenish packaging and ensure area is kept clean and tidy.
• Ensure operational areas are kept clean and tidy throughout shift.
• Ensure waste is stored correctly and removed when full.
• Ensure Manual Handling Equipment is checked daily before use.
• Carry out additional ad hoc tasks as requested.

• Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
• Experience working within a warehouse or packing environment would be beneficial, but equivalent skills and qualifications are also welcomed
• Flexible approach to work.
• Good numeracy and attention to detail.
• Positive attitude to work.
• Respectful and helpful to others.
• Good understanding of English.
• Ability to work with other people.
• Counterbalance and power pallet truck license preferable.
• Understanding of ERP systems such as SAP, Fresh ware, D365.
