Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for the (potential) customer sheet to support the sales by maintaining the database and keeping it up to date (e.g. Business Customer profile)
- Data entries in customer portals on retail programs
- Act on customer portals on tender openings, changes/confirmations and checking to ensure changes are aligned to the Sales Manager’s agreements (pricing, sizes, origins, delivery, etc.).
- Assist with selling company products and services to current and potential clients/tenders/calculations/retail prices.
- Proactively answer questions from customers regarding product, prices, availability, product uses, ripening and credit terms.
- Ensure KPI’s are met on “Service Not Invoiced” orders, closures within 14 days, following up on claims and always strive for the best returns.
- Actively communicate with Supply for operations and logistics planning to coordinate deliveries and order fulfillment and QC to understand the stock condition.
- Administrative tasks like order entry, order processing and order confirmations towards the customers.
- Close contact with customers regarding any issues/changes (delays, transit times, loading times)
- Monitor/process direct containers
- Perform other duties as requested i.e. other administrative tasks important for sales execution.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- MBO+/HBO level and/or the equivalent of 2 years work experience in sales/customer service, preferably in Fresh Produce
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch, fluent in English and other languages (German, French and/or Spanish) is an advantage
- Customer Oriented
- Computer skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and any ERP system
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel occasionally
- Experience in the Fruit & Vegetable sector is a big plus
- Above average ability to independently evaluate trends, explore areas for improvement, interpret large amounts of data, and provide possible solutions.
- Ability to focus on prioritized tasks, while dealing with emergency situations in times of high stress or heavy workload
- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, gather and analyze information skillfully, work well in group problem solving situations
- Maintain confidentiality; listen to others; keep emotions under control; remain open to others' ideas and try new things
