JOB TITLE: Sourcing Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Senior Sourcing Manager
LOCATION: Dartford, UK (on-site)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Helping manage product storage, inventory & distribution.
- Responsible for administering inventory ordering, procurement and supporting profitability.
- Helping maintain Grower/Supplier forecasts, ensuring forecast accuracy whilst keeping an accurate record of the inventory.
- Communicate and maintain the coordinated sourcing mission and strategy.
- Work closely with the sales/supply chain teams to ensure all sales volumes are supplied and pre-planned accounting for any external factors such as vessel changes.
- Review, manage, understand and report on the supply chain of goods, including vessel tracking and any other transit challenges the company may be facing.
- Purchase order and receipt raising responsibility in D365.
- Proactively communicate weekly product needs and programs to growers and suppliers according to the fruit size, pack, grade, volume changes and any other potential changes.
- Ownership and communication planning of product arrivals within Mission Produce UK and suppliers/service providers.
- Work closely with the Warehouse team to manage stock arrivals and the safe storage of stock.
- Work closely with the Mission Produce warehouse and QC teams to ensure an accurate forecast of volume is supplied to support the management of resources.
- Work closely with all stakeholders to develop and implement a continuous improvement plan to improve processes and maximise operational efficiencies.
- Assist in managing logistics, including containers, documentation, transportation and customs clearance.
- Develop and implement cross-functional process links.
- Develop new and existing relationships with suppliers and customers.
- Perform other reasonable duties related to this job role as requested.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
- Supply Chain/inventory management experience in a perishable industry would be preferable, but suitable equivalent qualifications/skills will also be considered.
- Ability to plan and deal with unexpected changes.
- Understanding of the manufacturing supply chain.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Good leadership and influencing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good written and verbal skills.
- Ability and willingness to negotiate and talk with suppliers and service providers.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work with a variety of cross-functional team members
- Understanding of Stock Management systems or ERP, examples SAP, Fresh ware, D365.
- Can-do attitude
- Ability to support the wider business with problem-solving
