MISSION PRODUCE™ TO SHARE THE VALUE OF AVOCADOS ON MENUS AT IFPA’s FOODSERVICE CONFERENCE

Oxnard, Calif. – July 24, 2023 – Mission Produce, Inc. (NASDAQ: AVO) (“Mission” or “the Company”) a world leader in sourcing, producing, and distributing fresh Hass avocados with additional offerings in mangos and blueberries, today announced its attendance at the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA)’s upcoming Foodservice Conference in Monterey, Calif. At the show, Mission plans to educate on the value avocados bring to menus and the Art of Ripening fruit to the right stage for the recipe. Additionally, the Company plans to sample its Peruvian avocados to demonstrate the origin’s quality, versatility, and flavor as an advantageous, high-quality source of supply.

“It’s an exciting time for avocados in foodservice– our Avocado Intel shows that consumers are looking for more avocado options on menus, and they’re willing to pay more for them!”1 said Galen Johnson, Senior Director of Sales, Food Service and Wholesale. “Both avocados and mangos are superfoods with a wide range of health benefits2,3 that appeal to health-conscious diners, so incorporating them on your menus can be a profitable way to enhance the dining experience.”

Mission Produce uses the Art of Ripening to expertly ripen avocados and mangos to the right stage for the recipe. Mission creates customer-tailored ripening programs, offering world-class service and order flexibility, including deliveries seven days a week, accommodation for last-minute order changes, and multi-stage shipments.

“We’re committed to getting the ripeness right,” added Johnson. “Whether your menu calls for avocados to slice and dice, or mash and smash, we’ve got you covered with high-quality, presentation-ready fruit.”

At the show, Mission Produce plans to showcase nutritious and delicious samples of its Peruvian avocados in chunky guacamole and avocado brownies. Mission is vertically integrated in Peru with nearly 10,000 acres of avocados and mangos. By owning the fruit, Mission can provide enhanced product reliability and quality oversight from field to fork. In addition, Mission's Peruvian program brings added convenience to the customer– by setting their summer season with Mission, customers can count on set pricing and scheduling.

Mission Produce is attending the International Fresh Produce Association (IFPA)’s Foodservice Conference in Monterey, Calif., from July 27-28, 2023, booth #410 (Serra Ballroom).
